Outdoor Taps
There are other parts of the house that also need tap: garden, garage and laundry area. Outdoor space like garden is very comforting. We often celebrate small gatherings and have a nice chat with friends at the garden. Also, water tap is extremely needed for the laundry area. Hence, outdoor tap is important.

How to install Garden tap:
- Turn off the main water supply and drain system.
- Use a small-diameter bit to drill a pilot hole through the joist.
- Insert the tap into the wall, without attaching it permanently.
- Solder a shut valve, fitted with a bleeder, to the other end of the copper pipe and apply a few coats of Teflon tape to the tap
- Screw in the tap.
- Use a pipe cutter to cut the supply pipe so as to be able to install a “T” fitting. Place a bucket under the cut so you can collect any water that may have remained in the pipe. Dry the pipes and join both ends of the “T” fitting to the feeder pipe without soldering them.
- Screw in the tap.
- Apply caulking around the tap in order to stop any air infiltration.
- Turn the main water supply back on.
